ISO 22000 is the first international standard for food safety management systems issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). According to ISO 22000, food safety is a priority for all organizations that produce, process, handle or deliver food.

Adequate control in food preparation, production and delivery procedures is essential to its safety and aims to eliminate or reduce the potential risk to an acceptable level, whereby the requirements of this standard apply to all food chain organizations, regardless of their size and complexity.

3. Certification

Certification ISO 22000 is a check of the established system performed by the selected certification body. On the basis of the offers collected, the company chooses the certification body, to whom it is then registered with the help of a consultant, and our assessor is included in all activities during the certification test.

After certification, the appraiser visits the company once a year to determine if the organization continues to comply with the requirements laid down by ISO 22000.

Certification steps ISO 22000:

1. Analysis of nonconformity

The non-compliance analysis is an optional activity that is carried out before the assessment itself. We will closely look at your existing food safety activities and compare them with the requirements of ISO 22000. It is a cost-effective way to check if there are areas to be improved before a formal assessment is made.

2. Formal assessment

A formal assessment is a two-step process. First, a consultant will review the readiness of your organization for the assessment, by checking the necessary procedures of the ISO 22000 standards and the control methods developed therein. Details of our analyses will be shared with you and in case of discrepancies, you will have the opportunity to solve them. In case that all requirements are met, it goes beyond the assessment of the level of implementation of procedures and control within the organization, according to the requirements of the ISO 22000 certification.

3. Certification

Once the level of certification is achieved, you will receive the ISO 22000 certificate, which has a validity of three years, subject to annual checks. With this certificate, you have formal evidence that your organization operates in accordance with quality requirements and thus takes care not only of internal resources and processes, but also of the requirements of clients and other stakeholders.

4. Maintenance
